The story of Adobha Agro — from a founder's conviction to India's first vertically integrated coconut food company.
"I didn't want to sell coconut products. I wanted to build the system that makes truly honest coconut products possible."
— Ganesh Raam Velayutham
Founder of Adobha Agro (India) and Adobha Pte Ltd (Singapore). Serial entrepreneur with a vision to build India's most trusted coconut food company. Started with contracted farms across South India. Building toward a 60,000+ tree network through the Green Root Programme — a multi-year commitment to honest farming partnerships. Believes in radical transparency — what's on the label matches what's in the product.
To become the world's most trusted coconut food company — where every product is a promise of purity, every farm is a partner in prosperity, and every family deserves honest food.
Adobha Agro exists to harness the full potential of the coconut — building an end-to-end ecosystem from contracted farms to certified processing to globally distributed brands, powered by transparency, traceability, and long-term thinking.
Adobha Agro incorporated. Early farm sourcing partnerships established across South India.

Full brand relaunch. New OKO logo. Expanded product range — desiccated coconut, milk, cream, sugar & flour. 1,000+ outlets. Expanded to Vizag & Bangalore. Ganesh Raam Velayutham started his first company in June 2003 — fresh out of college in Chennai. It failed. So did the next five.
For 10 years across India and Singapore — recruitment firms, crafts trading, HR consulting — nothing worked.
In 2013, with his last resources and a clear problem of his own to solve, he started Adobha — a co-living company in Singapore.
That worked.
And once it did, he did not stop.
Today the Adobha Group spans co-living, renovation, and agricultural infrastructure across two countries — with one consistent belief:
Good Business. Done Honestly. Creating Genuine Value.
Adobha Agro is the most personal company in the group — built on the conviction that India's coconut farmers deserve a partner who shows up, pays fairly, and builds for the long term.
Not a brand. An institution.
Read the full founder story on LinkedIn →Every label we print is a promise. We don't use "natural" when we mean refined. We don't use "organic" when we mean conventional. What's on the bottle matches what's in the bottle.
We believe the farmer is the first link in food quality. A poorly paid, poorly supported farmer cannot grow food you can trust. Our Green Root Programme is built on that belief.
We are not building for the next funding round. We are building for the next generation. That means choosing the slower, harder, more honest path — every time.
Adobha Agro is built by a small, focused team who believe deeply in honest food, fair farming, and long-term thinking. Every decision traces back to people who care about the same things.
